- Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP, dates and times of visits, interactions with the Services, and diagnostic or security information.
- Information from third parties: information supplied by Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, analytics providers, marketing platforms, fraud-prevention providers, and other vendors that help us provide the Services.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in artwork, order notes, contact forms, or other free-text fields unless it is necessary for your request.
3. How we collect information
We collect information:
- directly from you when you place an order, upload artwork, contact us, or subscribe;
- automatically through cookies, session storage, pixels, logs, and similar technology;
- from service providers and business partners involved in checkout, fulfillment, analytics, security, or marketing; and
- when you interact with our messages, social pages, or links.
4. How we use information
We may use personal information to:
- provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the Services;
- create and manage carts, process payments, fulfill orders, and provide shipping updates;
- review, store, retrieve, and print artwork submitted for custom orders;
- communicate about orders, files, customer service requests, returns, or reprints;
- send email or SMS marketing where permitted and manage subscriptions and opt-outs;
- measure website use and the performance of content and campaigns;
- detect spam, fraud, security incidents, misuse, or violations of our terms;
- debug, audit, and protect the reliability of our systems;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. Cookies, analytics, and local storage
The Services use technologies such as cookies, browser storage, server logs, and analytics tools. For example, the site uses session storage to maintain a Shopify cart, Google Analytics to understand site use, and Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse.
You can usually control cookies through your browser. Blocking or deleting cookies or browser storage may affect cart, checkout, security, or other site functionality. Some browsers and extensions also offer controls for analytics or cross-site tracking.
We do not currently respond to every browser “Do Not Track” signal because there is no uniform industry standard for doing so. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal, we will handle that signal as required.
6. When we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Service providers: companies that provide ecommerce, hosting, cloud storage, forms, email delivery, SMS delivery, analytics, anti-fraud, security, payment, and customer support services.
- Fulfillment partners: payment processors, postal services, shipping carriers, and others necessary to complete an order.
- Professional advisers: accountants, insurers, attorneys, and other advisers where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities or other parties for legal and safety reasons: when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, protects rights or safety, prevents fraud, or responds to lawful process.
- A successor: in connection with a merger, financing, sale, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.
- Other parties at your direction: when you ask or consent to the disclosure.
Vendors used by the Services may include Shopify, Netlify, Cloudflare, Google Analytics, cloud storage providers, email or SMS platforms, and shipping or payment providers. Their handling of information is also governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
7. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. Certain analytics or advertising disclosures may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some state privacy laws even when no money changes hands. If these laws apply to our activities, you may request to opt out by emailing us with the subject “Privacy Request.” We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of anyone under 16.
8. Email marketing
If you subscribe to marketing email, we may send studio updates, ceramic decal tips, book news, product announcements, offers, or related content. You can unsubscribe through the link in any marketing email or by contacting us. We may still send non-marketing messages needed to complete a transaction, respond to you, or administer an order.
9. SMS marketing
If an SMS signup is offered and you provide the required consent, we may send recurring automated promotional and personalized marketing text messages to the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help. We may send one final non-promotional message confirming an opt-out. You may also withdraw consent using another reasonable method, including contacting us. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. More details appear in the SMS Terms.
Mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose it to vendors that help deliver messages and operate the program. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for unrelated marketing.
10. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request:
- access to or confirmation of personal information we process about you;
- correction of inaccurate personal information;
- deletion of personal information;
- a portable copy of certain personal information;
- information about categories of information collected, used, or disclosed;
- an opt-out from sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; and
- an appeal if we deny an applicable privacy request.
To make a request, email Loading... with the subject “Privacy Request” and describe the right you want to exercise. We may need to verify your identity and request before responding. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
These rights are not absolute. We may retain or withhold information where permitted or required, including to complete transactions, maintain security, keep opt-out records, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims.
11. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to fulfill orders, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type and sensitivity of information and why it was collected.
Marketing opt-out records may be retained so we can honor your request. Artwork and order files may be retained to fulfill or support an order and may be deleted when no longer reasonably needed.
12. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use care when deciding what information to send online.
